I’m dedicated to helping individuals and families find healing and hope through a person-centered, attachment-focused, and integrated approach to counseling. My Christian worldview informs my understanding of who we are, why we suffer, and how we grow and heal. I believe we were designed as complex relational beings and that healing must be a holistic experience. As such, I incorporate cognitive, experiential, and somatic techniques with prayer and biblical principles. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am a SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator.
I was raised in the rural Midwest and moved south in 1996 to attend grad school. During that time, I met my husband. We have lived in Columbia ever since and raised three children together. When our first child left home to attend college, I returned as well and obtained an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Columbia International University. During that time, I also stepped into my role as the Director of Care at my beloved church, Columbia Crossroads. While empty-nesting, we are enjoying a full life of family, work, and ministry.
Whether you’re struggling with personal issues, relational difficulties, or seeking to deepen your spiritual walk, I would be honored to work together as we address your concerns.
