Julia has been working with clients in the Columbia area since 2019. She holds a master’s degree in counseling from Columbia International University (1997) and a doctorate (PhD) in Human Development from the University of Texas at Dallas (2002).
She regards counseling as a privilege to accompany individuals during difficult seasons of life on their journey towards healing and flourishing. In addition to supporting clients with a variety of issues like depression, anxiety, or adjustment disorders, she is especially passionate about working with couples and families who are experiencing relationship conflict or ambivalence. She has spoken at conferences and published several articles regarding marriage and family well-being and the ways faith can support marital satisfaction.
