We were all created for connection – with God, others, and within ourselves. Relationships are important. Mental and emotional health is best realized when we understand who we are and how we connect in our community.

I enjoy working with clients to discover a path for growth that is paved both by what the client has experienced and what the client hopes for in the future. Often, this work involves holding space for the parts of ourselves that feel uncomfortable emotions or engage in problematic behaviors. My goal is to help clients encounter these parts with curiosity and compassion, ultimately leading to clarity and connection. Clients do not have to remain stuck. Rather, I attempt to help clients recognize their strengths and move forward in a more authentic manner that is characterized by self-compassion.

When working with couples, I believe that nothing is more important in marriage than being seen, heard, and valued by your spouse. The goal of couples counseling is to help partners find mutual empowerment in their relationship that allows them to enjoy life together to the fullest.
